about us

Where some countries may be known for innovative new dishes and modern culinary skills, Vietnam is best known for the cradle of water rice civilization for about 4000 years, its age-old recipes, from warming noodle soup to Franco-Vietnamese bánh mì baguettes. Through many years of ups and downs in history, Vietnamese cuisine still retains its unique flavor that cannot be found anywhere else. Dishes imbued with love for the homeland, from the countryside to the city, make those who live far away from home remember the taste of home dishes.

Hanoi has a rich history as the capital city for more than a millennium. Thanks to its accessible river transportation, the city’s citadels have been home to affluent aristocrats and highly educated individuals. As a result, Hanoi cuisine is renowned for its exquisite taste and uniqueness. Throughout the city, there are many family-owned restaurants that have been passed down for generations, each with their own secret recipes for preparing authentic Hanoi cuisine that can’t be found anywhere else. However, most of these restaurants are tucked away in small alleys or on the sidewalk without any advertising, making it challenging for foreign tourists to discover them independently.

The best way to not only taste authentic Hanoi food but also to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and gain a deeper understanding of this ancient city is by joining a food tour led by a knowledgeable local guide.

That’s why I want to create opportunities to introduce visitors to Hanoi to the authentic flavors of my city through street food. As a result, Hanoi Foodie Trip, a group aimed at providing culinary experiences in Hanoi, was born.

With this mission, we have a range of services including the Hanoi Street Food Tour, Hanoi Cooking Class Tours, and more . you will have the opportunity to experience the unique Hanoi cuisine through the old houses, the old small streets and the stories revolving around the real life of the locals. Besides, you can really get your hands dirty in the kitchen, purchase and bargain for your own ingredients and prepare everything from scratch

We provide culinary tours combined with visits to learn about historical and cultural relics, traditional craft villages such as Bat Trang Ceramics, Ha Dong silk,…

We also create opportunities for you to participate in experiencing agricultural activities such as harvesting rice and fishing with local people; experience learning to cook typical and popular dishes such as bun cha, bun bo Hue, ….

All our tours feature a special Secret Dish selected by our guides that you can only find out about on the tour, with drink upgrades available as well.
